On Wednesday, 28th September The Bar of Ireland welcomed 93 new members. Chairman of the Council of The Bar of Ireland Paul McGarry SC opened the day’s proceedings with a warm welcome to this year’s new members.
Throughout the day members heard a range of talks from The Bar of Ireland’s executive management team and guest speakers that included: The Hon. Mr Justice Raymond Groarke, President of the Circuit Court, Claire Hogan BL, Libby Charlton BL, Mary Rose Gearty SC, Mícheál P O’Higgins SC, Patrick Leonard SC, Seamus Woulfe SC and the Hon. Mrs Justice Susan Denham.
This year’s new members were also treated to a special appearance from hit series Making a Murderer’s defence lawyer Dean Strang.
