Eavanna has 18 years of experience as a Junior Counsel, specialising in a wide range of civil and commercial litigation at every level of the Irish Courts, with extensive experience representing both Plaintiffs and Defendants, including leading insurance companies and other multinational organisations in:

  • Professional Negligence Litigation (in particular Medical and Dental Negligence);
  • Domestic and International Commercial Litigation;
  • Company Law and Corporate Governance Litigation;
  • Sports Litigation;
  • Employment Litigation;
  • Personal Injuries Litigation;
  • Chancery Litigation;
  • Product Liability Disputes;
  • Debt Collection and Contract disputes;
  • Arbitrations and Mediations.

Eavanna also has considerable experience representing doctors (on the instructions of insurance companies) and family members of deceased persons at Coroner’s Inquests; representing professional persons at Professional Disciplinary Tribunals; and representing Professional Disciplinary Bodies in High Court proceedings.

On the Commercial side, Eavanna has years of experience litigating Company Law and Contract Disputes. She was a lecturer for many years in Business Law and Corporate Governance in University College Dublin, to both Bachelor of Commerce Degree Students as well as students of the Masters in Management in Smurfit Business School, U.C.D.

With a background of qualifications and experience working in Information Technology for the Royal Bank of Scotland, Eavanna has a specialist interest and knowledge of the I.T. sector. She has a keen interest in Information Technology litigation, and recently appeared in injunctions proceedings against Facebook.

Eavanna also has a keen interest in Sports Law and outside of her practice at the Law Library, she is a Board member at Gymnastics Ireland and a member of the Disciplinary Panel of the FAI.
