Construction Bar Association Conference to tackle housing, adjudication and professional negligence

The Bar of Ireland is pleased to invite members and stakeholders to attend Constructing Clarity, the Construction Bar Association’s (CBA) annual conference, taking place on Friday 20th June in the historic Dining Hall of The Honorable Society of King’s Inns.

Construction disputes remain ever topical, as housing availability, the National Children’s Hospital and defective building related issues continue to dominate the news cycle.

Included on the conference agenda this year are housing regulation, adjudication and professional negligence. The event will bring together members of the judiciary, leading legal professionals and industry experts for a timely discussion of the legal challenges shaping the built environment in Ireland.

Housing Minister to Contribute to Panel on Housing

James Browne TD, Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage, will contribute to the opening panel on Housing and Building Regulation. His contribution will provide valuable insight into the direction of Government policy and legislative priorities, setting the tone for a solution-focused discussion among legal and industry experts.

Conference Agenda

Session 1 : Housing and Building Regulation

The conference will open with its first session on Housing and Building Regulation, chaired by The Hon. Mr. Justice Mark Sanfey.

Session 2: Ethics in the context of the Art of Advocacy
