Social Media Evidence in Personal Injuries Proceedings | Joint MIDBA & TIBA CPD

A joint MIDBA event with the Tort and Insurance Bar Association. This event will deal with the growing use of content from social media which is adduced to contradict evidence given by a claimant as to their injuries.

The discussion will centre on:

• Examples of when and how such evidence may be obtained and introduced;
• Its use in conjunction with an application under section 26 of the Civil Liability and Courts Act 2004;
• The possibility of such evidence being obtained via discovery.
