Barrister's Desktop

The new login box is the access point for Barrister's Desktop -- a new suite of online services now available for Law Library members. Barrister's Desktop will eventually replace the current out-dated Member's Section on this site, though both will be available for the immediate future.

What is Barrister's Desktop?
Barrister's Desktop is your own workspace on the web, incorporating your Law Library e-mail, the news, legal databases and interactive community resources for barristers, all in one place.

How do I access it?
Your username is the same one used for your e-mail, ie the part before
The password is the same password you use for your Law Library e-mail.

If you do not have a password for Law Library e-mail, or need it re-issued, please contact the IT Helpdesk: or ext. 5500.

First page
The first page shows a selection of news feeds ("widgets"), including your own Law Library e-mail. These can moved, deleted or you can add new ones via the "Manage My Widgets" link at the bottom of the page.

The menu to the left links to the other features of Barrister's Desktop. More information on these is available via the Help link at the top right of the page.

The individual services of the Law Library each have their own dedicated pages accessible via the tab bar running across the upper part of the page. Please bear with us as we update the content on these pages.
